EiiF TIPCHECK Expert

The TIPCHECK programme was established by the European Industrial Insulation Foundation (EiiF) with the aim of providing industry with tools and solutions to save energy and reduce COâ‚‚ emissions by inspecting and (if necessary) improving technical insulation systems.  A TIPCHECK Energy Audit is a standardised thermal energy audit, in accordance with EN 16247 and ISO 50002, to evaluate the performance of industrial insulation systems.  TIPCHECK stands for Technical Insulation Performance Check.

TIPCHECK Experts evaluate insulation systems of existing plants, planned projects or renovations and show how efficient(er) insulation:
• Will save energy,
• Will save money,
• Will contribute to a cleaner environment through reduced carbon emissions.

TIPCHECKs contribute to energy management systems such as ISO 50001 and, in addition to energy efficiency potential, TIPCHECKs can help identify process efficiency improvements & safety risks to both personnel, equipment and environment.

TIPCHECKs identify the areas with the highest energy-saving potential and offer a quick payback period of usually one year or even less.  The scope of a typical TIPCHECK usually includes non-insulated or under-insulated pipes, pipes with damaged insulation, partially uninsulated components but also of already insulated pipes in both cold and hot processes.

Dries Van den Bergh is a certified TIPCHECK Expert Lev. 1 (Cert. 04-202305-10) and can therefore perform TIPCHECKs and/or Insulation Scans (information obligation energy savings in The Netherlands) for you with the accompanying calculations and reports.  You receive advice on how to improve your insulation system and on how long your investment can be recouped.
